
Comment to DM flows can be used on Instagram or Facebook. You will choose a trigger word or phrase that kicks off an automation that sends a defined message to the user.
Tildei will reply to the user’s comment to let them know to look for a DM.
This automation will work if the user comments on a post, replies to a story, or directly DMs the trigger word or phrase.
However, if the primary vehicle for this automation is commenting on a Post or Reel, then the brand can only send one (1) message until the customer replies.
Create your comment to DM flow
- Head over to Automations in the left hand navigation.
- Then choose the "Comment to DM" template.
- Name it and hit create.
- Adjust the Send Message node to provide the text and add the link in the CTA.
- As mentioned, with a comment to DM flow, only one automated message can be sent, so be sure it's providing the information or soliciting the response you want.
- Select the "Start" node. In the right panel click "Create Scenario."
- In the overlay, type a trigger phrase or phrases.
- The agent will recognize most typos on its own even as "exactly matches."
- Click Create. This will make the Scenario under which the Automation is triggered.
- Next, click to the Details panel (ℹ️ icon in the top right) and make the version live.
- Note: If you need to make edits, you can easily create a new version from the version dropdown in the top right.
- Once live go to the Playground to message in the phrase to kick off the automation.
